STAT followers are upset with this character’s hiring – Showbizz.net

It’s hard not to be the least bit upset when seeing the attitude of Éric, played by Stéphane Rousseau, in STAT as he multiplies the lies to hide his gambling addiction.

It all culminated this week when he stole Jacob Faubert’s (Lou-Pascal Tremblay) $20,000 watch in hopes of trading it for cash at a pawn shop. Full of regret, however, he changed his mind at the last minute. However, his attempt to subtly return the stolen item failed when he was surprised by his colleague and friend Isabelle Granger (Geneviève Schmidt).

This Wednesday we witnessed a confrontation between Eric and his three good friends who were fed up with all his deceptions. The verbal battle didn’t end well, however, as Éric revealed several secrets about his friends that he had treasured until then. Pushed against the wall, the guard made a serious mistake…

Apparently, viewers on social media are angry with Eric, bemoaning his inaction and propensity to betray his friends. There are many comments on this.

For our part, we would like to pay tribute to the work of the author Marie-Andrée Labbé, who, with this case, has managed to portray a reality, namely that of gambling addiction: sufferers do not hesitate, albeit often, to lie to those around them, hoping to be able to continue playing. Extortion is also not uncommon in this disease.

We’d certainly like to see Eric come out and make amends, but things are proving more believable with the massive relapse we’re about to be shown. In this role, Stéphane Rousseau is particularly credible and endearing.

Meanwhile, Gabriel Lemaire’s character (Jean-Nicolas Verreault)’s survival remains uncertain after a mysterious attack in the hospital parking lot. Images shown in the trailer for this Thursday’s episode make us think the worst for him, while his brother doesn’t appear to be grieving by his bedside. See everything below.

Note that after this Thursday there are only two weeks left daily before the summer break.

Both Ludivine Reding and Anglesh Major teased us with the season finale that promises to be a surprise.

A second season has been confirmed. Filming will resume next July.
