Steam: 3 nuggets on offer to get in the Halloween spirit – Journal du geek

At Journal du Geek we take Halloween parties very seriously. That’s why we’ve put together a selection of activities to do on October 31st, including spooky games, movies to enjoy, or even activities to do alone or with friends. If your hobby is video games, then you know that there are numerous promotions on Steam, and this is it until November 2nd. So don’t hesitate to take a look and to help you, here are three must-try gems.

The Last of Us Part I

Available for €47.99 instead of €59.99.

The first game in the Naughty Dog series is truly a gem of storytelling. The Last of Us Part I is a remastered version of the game released almost 10 years ago that takes us into the chaotic lives of Joel and Ellie, two survivors of a zombie apocalypse with very different characters. The two characters not only have to learn to survive, but also to support each other.

If you’ve watched the HBO-produced series that released earlier this year, then why not dive into the game? It covers more survival themes and has the advantage of being much more immersive due to its interactive nature. Even players who have already tested the first version of the game will have great pleasure in rediscovering the story with this more modern version, which is more consistent with the second work.

Resident Evil Village

Available for €15.99 instead of €39.99.

It is the last original game in the series (not counting the remake of Resident Evil 4, which is also available on Steam for €39.99 and remains an excellent choice for Halloween). This 8th work puts you in the shoes of Ethan Winters, who sets out to search for his daughter. On his way he comes across a strange village overlooked by a terrible mansion. Its inhabitants are on the verge of becoming human, while we find witches, lycans and even vampires.

We love its haunting nature, its absolutely gorgeous settings, and its atmosphere that’s just frightening enough to be suitable for a Halloween evening.

Available for €9.99 instead of €19.99.

Don’t like adventure games and prefer sophisticated game mechanics? Inscryption should appeal to you. This is a very structured card game with a completely crazy atmosphere and characters that are heavily inspired by Day of the Dead. The best part is that Inscryption also combines puzzle, rogue-lite and deck-building game mechanics to satisfy its players. The studio describes its title as a psychological horror, and we would add that it falls within the boundaries of strange and disturbing.
