Stellantis Rewards 11 Startups During 2023 Edition of Venture Awards

Amsterdam, Netherlands, January 18, 2024/ — Stellantis (www.Stellantis.com) relies on a global ecosystem of startups to accelerate its transformation and become a “technology company” for sustainable mobility. The Venture Awards recognized six partner startups and five startups that benefited from an investment from the Stellantis Ventures fund. Startups play a key role in Dare Forward 2030's commitment to introduce customer-centric solutions for clean, safe and affordable mobility.

Stellantis NV (www.Stellantis.com) recognized 11 technology startups at the second annual Stellantis Venture Awards, an event that highlights innovations and high-value collaborations.

The Venture Awards validate Stellantis' commitment to delivering customer-focused technologies and capabilities that advance Dare Forward 2030's goal of clean, safe and affordable global mobility.

“Our goal is to create products that our customers love and enjoy using,” said Ned Curic, chief technology officer of Stellantis. “With the Stellantis Venture Awards, we recognize innovative and creative ideas from innovative startups that help us provide useful and modern features to our customers.”

Stellantis works with startups:

  • As a partner: Stellantis promotes innovation through the rapid implementation of innovative solutions. In the last two years, Stellantis has signed more than 110 partnership agreements with startups.
  • As an investor: With an initial investment of 300 million euros, the Stellantis Ventures capital fund focuses on young companies in the start-up or post-creation phase that are developing cutting-edge technologies that are expected to be used in the automotive and mobility sectors. To date, Stellantis Ventures' portfolio includes 12 investments.

The winners were selected based on their impact on the customer experience, the novelty of the technology and its potential for integration with Stellantis.

The 2023 Stellantis Venture Awards are categorized according to the pillars of the Dare Forward 2030 strategic plan and are as follows:

CARE

  • Recicli (Brazil) (https://www.Recicli.com) specializes in the development of sustainable technologies for all industries. Stellantis and Recicli have collaborated to recover rare materials from electric batteries thanks to an innovative biometallurgy process using microorganisms.
  • NetZero (France) (https://NetZero.Green) specializes in the permanent removal of carbon from the atmosphere by converting agricultural residues into biochar, a very stable form of carbon.
  • Trails Offroad (USA) (https://www.TrailsOffroad.com) encourages customers to utilize the capabilities of Jeep® vehicles to go off-road with the Trails off-road guides available in the Uconnect system.
  • Vehya (US) (https://www.Vehya.com) makes electrification easier by helping Stellantis customers in North America select and install the right Free2move home chargers.

TECHNOLOGY

  • Tiamat (France) (https://www.Tiamat-Energy.com) has developed an advanced chemical process for sodium-ion battery cells that offers a lower cost per kWh and an alternative to lithium-ion without lithium and cobalt. which increases sustainability and sovereignty.
  • Electra Vehicles (Italy/USA) (https://www.ElectraVehicles.com) provides AI-driven software solutions to extend battery life, range and safety for existing and next generation chemicals, improving overall performance.
  • Vayyar (Israel) (https://www.Vayyar.com) uses a state-of-the-art 4D imaging radar platform that detects motion and tracks multiple targets to monitor the cabin and improve safety. This system offers a seat belt reminder, the burglary protection system and child presence detection in a single sensor.
  • Geoflex (France) (https://www.Geoflex.xyz) provides real-time global positioning with an accuracy of up to 4 centimeters, enabling technological advances in the field of autonomous vehicles.
  • 6K (USA) (https://www.6Kinc.com) The UniMelt plasma process enables advanced sustainable manufacturing to ensure clean, low-carbon material production.

  • Shippeo (France) (https://www.Shippeo.com) and Freight Verify (USA) (https://www.FreightVerify.com) allow customers and merchants to track the transport location of goods in their vehicle in real time.
