On Saturday night, the star player was forced out of the matchup against the Dallas Mavericks late in the third quarter after colliding with a rival.
It was possible to see Curry limping to get to the bench. He was then examined before being sent to the dressing room.
After the game, the Warriors said Curry’s X-rays were negative, but the 34-year-old would need to have an MRI scan.
“Any time a guy does that kind of test, there’s concern,” Warriors coach Steve Kerr said after the game. We just have to wait and see the results.
“It has happened many, many times over the years. Fingers crossed.”
Two days before the incident against the “Mavs”, Curry had also hit his left knee in a duel against the Denver Nuggets. The inner-city shooting specialist also missed 11 games in 2022-23 with a left shoulder injury.
In 38 games so far this season, Curry has averaged 29.4 points, 6.3 rebounds and 6.4 assists per game.
Kyrie Irving reportedly no longer wearing Nets colors
The Brooklyn Nets reportedly intend to keep guard Kyrie Irving on the sidelines until next Thursday, the NBA’s trade deadline.
This was announced by the TNT network on Sunday.
Two days earlier, Irving reportedly asked the Nets to trade him for a different roster. The Big Apple player and the team were unable to agree on a contract extension, which would have led to the 30-year-old’s request.
He signs a four-year contract in 2022-2023 that will allow him to earn an average of $34 million annually.
Irving missed Saturday’s game against the Washington Wizards with a minor calf injury. However, he was not on the bench. Fans booed when a picture of him appeared on the giant screen at the Barclays Center.
The Nets have two games left before the close of trading. They face the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday and the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday.
