Stephen King published a rare photo of himself in front of his 6.6 million followers Twitter in support of Ukraine.
On Monday, the horror writer wrote to his fans, saying, “I don’t usually post pictures of myself, but today is an exception.”
The image shows the 74-year-old standing next to a bookcase in the library, wearing a T-shirt with the words “I stand with Ukraine”.

While photographs of the famous novelist may be rare, his political views are not.
Over the past week, the author of The Dark Half has been deeply involved in the discourse surrounding Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
A day before posting his photo, King wrote on Twitter: “For the first time in a long and scandalous career, Putin looks stupid. It must be a shock to him.
Last week, he added to the microblogging platform while watching Fox News: “Tucker Carlson is quoted on Russian television as justifying the cowardly Russian beating in Ukraine. He is our own Tokyo rose.
His support comes when the Hollywood film industry also seems to be taking a stand against the attacks.

Disney paused for a series of theatrical releases scheduled for Russia on Monday.
“Given the unprovoked invasion of Ukraine and the tragic humanitarian crisis, we are suspending the release of theatrical films in Russia, including Pixar’s upcoming Turning Red,” a Disney statement said.
“We will make future business decisions based on the evolving situation. In the meantime, given the scale of the emerging refugee crisis, we are working with our NGO partners to provide emergency and other humanitarian assistance to refugees.
