One of Hollywood’s biggest stars and a major car enthusiast, Steve McQueen acquired the 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB/4 which became his trademark. After long years, the same car bought in the 60’s is worth 300 times more than the original value.

Ferrari is auctioned for 300 times
According to the auction information, the car will be sold for 5.5 million euros, the equivalent of almost R$ 30 million. When McQueen bought the machine, it was worth 12,750 euros at the time; are now passed on for a much higher value.

The engine still has the ability to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in an incredible six seconds and reaches 265 km/h at its maximum output. The classic is being sold in the United States by RM Sotheby’s through their central auction in Monterey, California. The auction date is scheduled for August 19th.
A spokesman for the organization said the car had been restored to Ferrari Classiche requirements. For him it is a unique opportunity to own one of the greatest examples of Ferrari, especially with the unique history of Hollywood.
