Cathie Wood remains extremely optimistic about Tesla

Ark Invest’s Cathie Wood reiterated her extremely bullish view of her electric vehicle darling Tesla, expecting it to hit $2,000 within five years, largely due to a robotaxi boom.

“About a third of our valuation is related to electric vehicles,” Wood said on CNBC’s “Fast Money” on Monday. “Two-thirds of our evaluation relates to autonomy [driving] and autonomous taxi platforms.”

Wood’s bear case for Tesla is a target of $1,400 by 2027 and $2,500 as her bull case. Tesla is the largest holding in its flagship fund Ark Innovation ETF (ARKK), with a weighting of 11.5%. Tesla shares have more than doubled this year after losing 65% in 2022.
