Treasury yields are rising as investors await key inflation data
U.S. Treasury yields were higher on Wednesday as investors awaited the release of the latest consumer price index, which could provide clues about the Federal Reserve’s interest rate policy outlook.
At 4:05 a.m. ET, the yield on the 10-year Treasury note rose over three basis points to 4.3001%. The two-year Treasury yield was last at 5.0263%, after rising more than two basis points.
Yields and prices move in opposite directions and one basis point is equal to 0.01%.

Moderna shares are up more than 1%
Shares of Moderna rose 1.2% in after-hours trading on Tuesday.
The increases were driven by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s recommendation that all Americans six months and older receive updated Covid vaccines from Moderna and Pfizer.
Pfizer rose 0.2% on Tuesday evening.

Divergence observed in mega-cap tech stocks
According to Bespoke Investment, not all big tech companies act the same.
Nvidia and Apple have both fallen more than 7% in the last week and are trading below their 50-day moving averages. Meanwhile, Alphabet, Amazon and Tesla are more than 4% above their 50-day moving averages, the company noted.
