Stocks making the biggest moves premarket: Tesla, AMC, Southwest, and more

News Update - Pre-Markets

Check out the companies making headlines before the bell:

Tesla (TSLA) – Tesla is up 1.6% in a volatile premarket session after a seven-day losing streak and declines in 10 of the past 11 sessions. Baird lowered his price target for Tesla to $252 per share from $316 per share, but still rates the stock as above average.

AMC Entertainment (AMC) – AMC Entertainment rose 1.2% in premarket trading after CEO Adam Aron asked the cinema chain’s board of directors to freeze his salary. He also urged other top AMC executives to do the same.

Southwest Airlines (LUV) – Southwest Airlines fell 1.3% in premarket measures as the company continues to cancel flights to return to a normal schedule. Southwest canceled thousands of flights last week after a severe winter storm and is restricting bookings over the next few days.

Nvidia (NVDA), Micron Technology (MU) – These and other semiconductor stocks are keeping a close eye as investors focus on an oversupply of chips. This is in stark contrast to global shortages during the pandemic, when demand soared.

Apple (AAPL) – Apple is marginally higher in the pre-market after its close on Tuesday, which was the lowest since June 2021. Apple has fallen for the past three days and eight of the past nine trading sessions.

Lyft (LYFT) – The ride-hailing company’s stock remains on guard after closing below $10 a share for the first time since its 2019 IPO. It rallied 1.1% in premarket trading.

Generac (GNRC) – Shares in the electronics maker were a buy in Janney Montgomery Scott’s new coverage with a price target of $160, up 76% from current levels. Generac is the worst performer in the S&P 500 for 2022, down 74.1%.
