(ANSA) BRUSSELS, 19 APRIL “Good meeting with the US President and political leaders given the recent Russian offensive in the Donbass region, which we had warned about. We agree to impose additional costs on the Kremlin and continue to support Ukraine. President Putin must end the war immediately.” NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg wrote on Twitter.
“Leaders NATO said in a statement have condemned Russia’s current attack along the frontline in eastern Ukraine, even with heavy bombing, causing even more human suffering. The Secretary General informed his colleagues about the work on strengthening NATO deterrence and defense and underlined that NATO will do everything to protect and defend all allies. Stoltenberg “also briefed other leaders on the Allies’ work to provide additional military, economic and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine.” (HAND).
