Strictly’s Adam Thomas holds back tears as he “let down partner Luba Mushtuk” during her performance – after being forced to miss training
Adam Thomas fought back tears during the second live show of Strictly Come Dancing on Saturday evening.
The 35-year-old actor admitted that during their performance, while they waited for their score, he felt like he had “let down his partner Luba Mushtuk.”
Adam missed a whole day of training while juggling filming for BBC school drama Waterloo Road earlier this week and struggled to contain his emotions.
The duo danced a tango to “Somebody Told Me” by Maneskin and received a total of 23 points from the jury.
After their dance, Adam said he wouldn’t be smiling much longer when host Claudia checked on him.

Oh no! The actor admitted that during their performance, while they were waiting for their score, he felt like he had “let down his partner Luba Mushtuk.”
He explained, “I tried my best and I feel like I just let you down.”
‘Adam! It’s week two and the judges said the choreography was brilliant and they loved your performance!’ Claudia exclaimed as she tried to calm him down.
He continued: “I gave it my best shot tonight and hopefully that will be enough.”
It’s the first week in which the couples dance for survival in the first public vote. In the results show on Sunday, one couple will be eliminated from the competition.
Adam revealed he was forced to miss training for this week’s episode of Strictly Come Dancing due to work commitments.
In the role that launched his career, the actor can currently be seen again as Donte in Waterloo Road alongside his co-stars Kym Marsh and Angela Griffin.
The show was rebooted last year after being canceled in 2015, and Adam shared a photo of Donte’s costume rail as he wrote: “I missed a day of training today… but it’s worth it.” Work is work! Let’s go, Donte!!!’
Adam took to Instagram before the live show and checked in with fans after the dress rehearsal.

But it wasn’t a relaxing lunch break for the star, who used the time to learn his lines for filming next Monday.
Adam laughed: “I’m just learning the lines for Monday, I don’t know how long I can keep this up. I’ll be honest with you, but we’re trying!”
The dad-of-two also admitted there will be a special show this week as his children Teddy, nine, and Elsie, five, come to watch.
Adam explained: “It’s special because my kids are coming to look after me. ‘I can’t wait to see their little faces.’
