Strong explosion in Belogrod Tass: Russia accidentally bombs the city itself

At night, an explosion rocks the Russian border town of Belgorod. The governor mentions four wounded and a huge crater. State news agency Tass reported shortly afterwards that a fighter jet had accidentally dropped ammunition.
According to a media report, a Russian warplane fired on the Russian city of Belgorod, near the border with Ukraine. “When a Sukhoi Su-34 aircraft flew over the city of Belgorod, the air munitions were accidentally shot down,” Russian state news agency Tass said, quoting the Russian Defense Ministry.
The explosion left a crater.

The governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, announced via Telegram that a strong explosion shook the Russian border town of Belgorod. A huge crater with a radius of 20 meters formed at the intersection of one of the main roads,” he wrote. Two women were injured, four cars and four houses were damaged. Tass reports that the Russian Ministry of Defense is investigating the incident.
After the start of the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine, Russian border regions are under increasing fire. According to the governor, this bombing has killed 30 civilians from the Belgorod region since the beginning of the war.
