Subtropical Storm Nicole is forming

In the early hours of the morning, the extensive low-pressure system in the seas north of Puerto Rico, it continued to gain organization and intensity, becoming a subtropical storm named Nicole.

The subtropical storm has maximum sustained winds of 75 kilometers per hour with higher gusts, its central pressure is 1004 hectopascals, and is moving from north-northwest at about 22 kilometers per hour. At five o’clock in the morning its central region was at 25.5 degrees north latitude and 68.5 degrees west longitude. Position it places 890 kilometers east of Great Abaco Island in the northern Bahamas.

Over the next 12 to 24 hours, the subtropical storm will move in the same direction, tilting its trajectory to the northwest and slowing its speed somewhat, gaining a little more organization and intensity. with the possibility of becoming a tropical storm in the next 48 hours. The next subtropical cyclone warning will be issued this Monday at 6 p.m.
