Sarah Snook said an emotional goodbye to her Succession family and paid them a heartfelt tribute on Instagram.

The series finale of the Machiavellian HBO drama has finally aired, and as much as fans are devastated to say goodbye to Succession Sundays, the cast is heartbroken.

On Monday (May 29), Snook, who plays the youngest member of the Roy family, Shiv, posted a photo of her and her new baby sitting in front of the TV, ready for the dramatic ending to the superlative satire see.

“It’s hard to express what this show meant to me. The places I got to visit, the immense talent I got to work with… it breaks my heart that it’s all over,” she wrote in the caption.

“But my heart had to be so full of all the memories, good times, challenges and triumphs to even be able to break… that makes me grateful. Being fortunate enough to be part of this crazy show adventure will be a career highlight that will no doubt be hard to beat.”

Expressing her gratitude for “the hard work all season after season,” Snook said, “We all set the bar high for each other, then surpassed it and excelled in every way.”

“The friendships, the scripts, the locations, the one-liners, the wee hours, the last-minute changes, all the ups and downs: I’ll miss it all.”

She praised the “people of this show” as a “talented bunch” that she was “proud to work with.”

“It’s the people I’m going to miss the most,” she added.

“I just watched the final episode of the last season of something that changed my life. And now my life has changed again. Thank you for all the love and support.”

After the series finale, creator Jesse Armstrong explained why he knew the show’s “final sequel” was “the right ending for quite some time” in the episode’s “Controlling the Narrative” post-credits feature.
