Summer camp canceled: Thousands of dollars claimed by a Montérégie ranch –

A summer camp canceled just days in advance in July is causing anger in Saint-Mathias-sur-Richelieu, Montérégie, while parents are still demanding a refund.

Many report paying large amounts of up to over $1,000 to Sunset Ranch without receiving a refund, even after attempting to contact the property owners multiple times.

“It’s unfortunate, sad, absurd,” said Cathy Morneau, who says she paid more than $500 to Sunset Ranch last winter. Behind them are shattered children’s dreams.”

Jean-François Lussier charges owners more than $1,000 for riding lessons.

“We sent out a formal notice,” he said. they were not [la] seek. We sent a bailiff and he received it personally. We still have no news.”

Around 30 parents have come together via social networks and want to push forward their trivial demands.

The city of Saint-Mathias-sur-Richelieu also confirms that it sent a notice of violation in July to the owner, who was not authorized to operate a riding camp.

A MAPAQ inspection also recently took place due to complaints received.

The ranch’s owners were not present during TVA Nouvelles’ visit Tuesday and did not respond to our interview request.
