Sunshine on Friday while around six inches of snow is expected

Quebecers should take advantage of good weather with plenty of sunshine on Friday ahead of fresh snowfall on Saturday due to the arrival of a visibly stronger low pressure system.

Environment Canada has released a weather report for areas of southern Quebec, from Pontiac to Estrie through Gatineau, Montreal and Lanaudière.

Snow begins to fall overnight in Montreal and will continue into Saturday to leave accumulations of four to six inches on the ground.

The strong winds that accompany the snow, gusting to 50 km/h, are likely to limit visibility, which will certainly make the road conditions particularly difficult.

Elsewhere in Quebec, the likely heavier clouds will dominate and tend to persist throughout the weekend, except in the eastern part of the province where sunny spells are expected.

While waiting for the gray weather and windy weather of the weekend despite the very pleasant temperatures, Quebecers are treated to a beautiful sunny day on Friday.
