Supermodel Gigi Hadid has announced that she will donate all of her fashion month earnings to aid in Ukraine.

“The established schedule of Fashion Month means that my colleagues and I often introduce new fashion collections at heartbreaking and traumatic moments in history,” she wrote on Instagram, along with a series of snapshots from various fashion shows.

Hadid, one of the most sought-after models in the industry, told her 72 million followers that while she can’t control her busy work schedule, she’s committed to helping those in need. She thanked model Mika Argañaraz for inspiring her decision.

“We don’t have control over most of our work schedule, but we’d like to go for something. Following in the footsteps of my friend @micarganaraz, I pledge to donate my income from the show in the fall of 2022 to help those suffering from the war in Ukraine.”

From Michael Kors in New York to Vivienne Westwood in Paris, Hadid has walked numerous shows this month, with fashion weeks taking place in New York, London, Milan and Paris.

Hadid went on to say that she will also use her earnings to continue to support the Palestinians and concluded the post by writing, “Our eyes and hearts must be open to all human injustice. May we all see each other as brothers and sisters, beyond politics, beyond race, beyond religion. After all, it is the innocent lives that pay for the war, not the leaders.”

Hadid’s announcement comes days after Ukrainian actress Mila Kunis and her husband Ashton Kutcher pledged up to $3 million in donations to help refugees fleeing her home country.

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are also raising funds to help the country’s refugees.
