Unsurprisingly, STALKER: Legends of the Zone Trilogy has just been officially released by GSC Game World. The compilation actually appeared on Japanese websites this morning, but now it has been officially announced as part of the Xbox Partner Preview. The best part is that it will be available starting today!
The STALKER: Legends of the Zone trilogy became official and available today!
STALKER: Legends of the Zone combines STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl, STALKER: Clear Sky and STALKER: Call of Pripyat, each released in 2007, 2008 and 2010.
This is excellent news as it is the very first time the titles will be available on the console. Mataboo took care of the ports and adapted the games to the controller, for example by developing a circular weapon selection interface and modifying the aiming system and menu navigation.
The console versions will also support mods via mod.io, but again, this is a feature that will be introduced later as the team refines things further.
STALKER: Legends of the Zone Trilogy is available today via backwards compatibility on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. It remains to be seen whether the game will be confirmed for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. This is a great way to wait for STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl, which will be released on September 5th for Xbox Series X|S and PC directly on Xbox Game Pass.
