Cuban reggaeton singer Yosvanis Arismin Sierra Hernández, known as “Chocolate MC,” was arrested again Saturday in Tampa and is facing five charges, some prior to this new arrest.
“Chocolate MC” is charged with domestic violence, but was also wanted for fleeing police and driving with a suspended driver’s license.
According to public police documents, the arrest was made in Hillsborough County, Tampa, but the warrant was issued at an unspecified location.
Sierra Hernández is accused of:
Domestic violence by strangulation.
Kidnapping and false arrest of an adult.
Serious Bodily Injury and Bodily Injury or Disability.
Escape and try to run away from the police.
Driving with a suspended or revoked license.
Chocolate MC was arrested in October 2021 after his bail expired without appearing in court on a pending case with his former partner, young Cuban Cynthia Cortés.
The musician is accused of “domestic violence with strangulation, kidnapping, bodily harm and causing a disability”.
Also known as “El Rey del Reparto”, he gained his freedom in March 2022, even having declared himself on a hunger strike despite apparently not having completed his legal dealings.
In recent months, the Cuban singer’s life has seemed quieter, amid a new relationship and even a lucrative half-million-dollar contract.
“First of all I want to thank everyone who has trusted me from the ground up, my family, my colleagues and also my haters because they have also motivated me to continue my dream. I told him that I will be a billionaire and a model for Puma, I predicted it and today I can tell the world that I have achieved it or am almost there,” the musician said last September.
