Susan Sarandon was spotted strolling through New York’s East Village on Sunday morning.

The 76-year-old actress appeared to be having a pleasant day as she flashed a smile as she strolled the city’s busy streets.

Her sighting comes after reports this week that she is suing a construction company for allegedly doing substandard work on her home in Vermont, according to Portal.

The Oscar-winning actress, who recently attended a film festival in Italy, wore an almost all red and white outfit, which also included a flowy and patterned long sleeve blouse.

Sarandon tucked her top into bright red pants as she got out.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show actor also wore a pair of striped shoes and crisp white socks.

The actor carried a multicolored handbag and stylish sunglasses.

Her beautiful red hair was cropped short and went well with the tones of her clothes.

Despite appearing to be making the most of her mornings, Sarandon recently filed a lawsuit against the construction company that built her home in Stamford, Vermont.

According to Portal, the artist filed a lawsuit against DeGrenier Contracting and Property Management in federal court in Springfield, Massachusetts last Thursday.

According to the filing, Sarandon representatives identified numerous issues with their home, including issues with mold, insulation and an unfinished ceiling in their master bedroom.

The actress filed her lawsuit through her limited liability company, The Right to Bear Farms, through which she also purchased her 45-acre property in 2018.

The performer, who is also known for her longstanding environmental advocacy, wanted to live in a “completely off-grid” home that would be powered by solar and geothermal energy.

Sarandon is said to have made her inquiries about the proposed home’s specifications “in light of increasing global environmental instability”.

In her filing, the actress claimed that DeGrenier’s owner misrepresented his qualifications and charged for non-existent services.

She also claimed that the owner was paid a sum of $140,000 to act as property manager after the house was built, although she expressed that the person did nothing to earn that amount.

The performer has since asserted claims of unjust enrichment, fraudulent misrepresentation and breach of contract, and is seeking unspecified damages.

The owner of DeGrenier Contracting and Property Management declined to comment publicly on the lawsuit.
