One user uploaded footage of the chaos to Instagram with the caption: “No more six flags.”
According to the GBI, nearly 600 people were running and fighting in the park on Saturday evening.
An “unknown number” of suspects shot at police officers as Cobb County officers pushed people out of the park and onto South Service Road, FOX5 reported.
An officer returned fire, striking one of the suspects, who was then taken to Grady Memorial Hospital – although his current condition is unknown.
Someone who was in the park during the fighting managed to capture the chaos on camera, which he then uploaded to Instagram.
Huge crowds can be seen frantically moving through the park, with visitors in the background shouting: “What the hell is going on?”
Park staff tried to disperse the mob from the park when more shouting erupted.
Amid the chaos, a boy is seen being handcuffed and arrested by two officers, although it is unclear exactly what he is being arrested for.

The amusement park faced similar problems on its “opening day” last year. A large group of young people had to be driven out of the park after fighting broke out.
It is not known whether any of the suspects will face legal consequences for Saturday evening's events.

“Our goal is to provide safe and entertaining entertainment.” We employ state-of-the-art security systems and metal detection, maintain a robust and vigilant public safety department, and receive strong support from the Cobb County Police, who maintain a presence both inside and outside the park is. Every guest is expected to adhere to our strict Code of Conduct and anyone who does not wish to abide by this Code of Conduct is not welcome.
It is incredibly disappointing that our community is being disrupted by groups of underage youth at public events across the region. Like other venues in the area, we strive to keep such issues outside of our park and off our property. There were police operations with shots fired; We would like to confirm that no shooting occurred on our property or parking lot. This occurred on the South Service Road, which is not owned or operated by Six Flags. However, we join our community and the Atlanta region in our commitment to safety and security. “We won’t put up with something like that here.”
