Swaying TikTok mom Taylor Frankie Paul has been arrested after throwing a chair at her boyfriend

The famous, gently swinging TikTok Mormon mother, who was arrested on domestic abuse charges last week, was taken into custody after she threw a chair at her boyfriend, who ended up hitting her five-year-old daughter, new records revealed.

first reported Taylor Frankie Paul’s arrest in Utah on February 23, with her boyfriend – Dakota Mortensen – refusing to reveal what had led to it.

He insisted she “didn’t mean to hurt anyone” and said he wasn’t the one who called 911, but declined to give more details.

Now, court documents have revealed that he called the police on February 17 after Paul “threw heavy metal chairs at him” and “put him in a chokehold”.

She threw her phone at him, leaving him “fearing for his life,” according to records.

According to the documents, the argument was recorded on video, which has not yet become public.

Court filings say Mortensen told Paul to stop throwing things at him for standing next to their five-year-old daughter Indy, but that she moved on.

Eventually, one of the chairs hit the child in the head, leaving her with a “goose egg” injury, according to the records.

What led to the altercation is unclear.

Paul was charged with aggravated assault and two counts of domestic violence in the presence of a child, along with one count each of child molestation and criminal mischief.

She will return to court on March 21.

Mum-of-two Paul was part of a group of Utah couples who indulged in “soft swinging” — a practice that involves swapping partners, but only with the understanding they’re not having full sex.

But last year she caused a stir when she admitted she broke the cardinal rule and ended up losing her divorced husband Tate and most of her friends.

She and Mortensen projected a happy, loved-up life on TikTok, where she has more than four million followers.

But last month he told how their relationship turned violent.

Paul had been to a ‘Galentine’s Party’ – a woman meeting event held around Valentine’s Day – and he picked her up and drove her back to her house.

“I don’t even get to speak to her,” said Mortensen, 30. “I really don’t want to talk about it, but I want to clarify a few things.

“I didn’t call 911,” he added, saying he thinks a neighbor may have called.

Mortensen, a real estate agent and tile company boss who has his own popular TikTok account where he talks about his recovery from drug addiction and alcoholism, added, “We didn’t fight.”

“I don’t even want the truth to come out. She’s so broken right now. I tried to help her,’ he said.

“She’s a good mother, she’s going through a lot in her life right now. Taylor has struggled, it’s been a tough year for her. She is wracked with guilt over her cheating scandal that cost her her marriage.”

Taylor admitted she broke the sweeping agreement with her friends earlier last year: “I stepped out of that agreement, that’s where I messed up and I’m obviously losing everything I have.”

She then suffered an ectopic pregnancy and lost the child she and Mortensen wanted to have together.

She wrote to her followers in December, calling 2022 the “worst year of my entire life.”

“From tough marriage to swinging, going through divorce, big loss of a family, best friends, my part time kids, trying to be in another relationship but can’t feel happy, to having an ectopic pregnancy to a deep depression.

“By now, millions of people have seen everything and given their lovely opinions,” she added.

But she said she hopes for a better New Year. “23 is my number so I guess next year is my year.”

Taylor introduced Mortensen to TikTok last July while she was still in the middle of her divorce.

Mortensen says he believes the arrest was a “low point” for Paul and will only make it stronger.

“She needs help, she hasn’t had time to process the end of her marriage. She finds it difficult to forgive herself for the swinging scandal. And then she had an ectopic pregnancy.

“I love Taylor very much and want to have a future with her,” he added.

He confirmed they don’t live together and he rents an apartment about 20 miles from their home in Herriman.

“We just have to run it through the system and see how it develops. I have no idea when I’ll be able to see or talk to Taylor again. That can be days, weeks or months.”
