Syrian and Russian fighters bomb terrorist headquarters in Idlib

Damascus, June 25 (Prensa Latina) Russian and Syrian planes have carried out more than 30 attacks on terrorist strongholds in Idlib province, some 350 kilometers northwest of this capital, in the past few hours.

Local activists quoted by various media said the targets were the radicals’ headquarters and positions near the towns of Jesser Al-Shugur and Ariha, and at the entrances to the provincial capital, Idlib.

They added that arms and ammunition depots and a command center of the Junta para Liberación del Levante, which is on the international terrorism list, were destroyed.

The extremists have stepped up their operations from Idlib against state-controlled residential areas in recent months, launching four drone strikes that have killed four civilians.

The national army managed to liberate 56 percent of Idlib in its 2020 operations, but the jihadists still control the rest, where they keep hundreds of thousands of civilians as human shields.
