SZA, 34, said she doesn't have high hopes for victory.
That's because she's been snubbed in the past.
“I've lost enough time to know that it's not wise to invest in this moment,” she told Variety in November.
“And not because it's unimportant – I'm so happy about it – but because you have to value who you are as an artist and as a person,” she added.
“It's the first time I've been so popular, and at the exact same time I've seen a huge increase in negativity.”
In 2018, the Love Galore singer was nominated for five Grammys for her debut album Ctrl and won none.
In 2022, she won for Kiss Me More, her collaboration with Doja Cat. But by and large she wasn't taken seriously by the Recording Academy.
SZA sat down with Apple Music 1's Zane Lowe last month and admitted that she has already achieved most of the career goals she set for herself at the start.

“I don't have any other goals, and that sounds terrible, but career-wise… I keep saying this – no one believes me – but it's just like you don't understand it.” “Those are my goals” she said to Lowe.
“I have already achieved platinum. I didn't think I would ever go platinum. I sold a lot of records. I met Stevie Wonder, I met and worked with Beyoncé, I met Frank Ocean. My mom came and my dad came to all these cool countries to see me perform. “I had sold out shows and got to headline a festival,” she said.
SZA continued, “What else do I want?” I'm nominated for Grammys. I won a Grammy. Personally, I'm done.'
“Everything beyond that is so much more than I wanted, thought, dreamed,” she added.
