Angolan airline TAAG-Líneas Aéreas announced the resumption of its flights to Cuba after business on intercontinental routes connecting America and Europe, including the Caribbean island, was positively assessed among the next destinations to be resumed.
Like most of these companies, TAAG-Líneas Aereas had suspended its operations during the Covid-19 pandemic. The company will reconnect Luanda with Havana, which flew continuously from 1984 to 2020 and has operated few humanitarian and cargo charter flights since then.
In the current panorama, the company proposes the month of November as the start date, specifically the 8th, for the flights between Luanda and Havana, which will initially operate fortnightly.
For the month of December, the Angolan airline plans to increase these frequencies, at least once a week, and would return to the fortnightly frequency in February 2023. The airline currently covers 14 domestic routes and 12 international destinations, including a growing transport of goods.
