There are many reasons for the high tension that can currently be felt in Israel and Gaza. The situation in the Middle East was discussed in the episode of Tagadà broadcast on La7 on October 31st. In fact, the White House announces almost every day: Biden has heard from Netanyahu. Biden is supposed to defend the peace and tries to prevent the conflict from spreading, trying to keep Netanyahu on a leash and force him to moderate by reminding him that international law must be respected without killing civilians. We know very well that Hamas hides rockets and terrorists under hospitals and around schools. This is a technique used by Hamas to create more propaganda when it is then bombed. But Biden is definitely trying to keep Netanyahu under control. Netanyahu is a far-right populist and he is a terrible person, a mini-Trump. Netanyahu is not. He is a decent person. He is on trial for corruption and is trying to turn Israel into Orban’s Hungary by seizing control of the Supreme Court for personal interests. Netanyahu is a great politician, but he is a bad person, and I hope he resigns as prime minister within six months of the end of the war because Israel needs more moderate leadership. And Netanyahu with his right-wing ultra-religious fundamentalists creates this hatred. But we must not confuse Netanyahu with the Jewish people. And anti-Semitism is terrible and must be condemned.
