An electrifying competition
The first official race of the E1 World Championship is scheduled to take place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on February 2-3, 2024. As the inaugural season progresses, tours of some of the world’s most famous cities will be conducted by water. The full calendar of events will be announced shortly.

In the championship, up to ten teams compete against each other on identical RaceBird boats with innovative hydrofoil technology. Teams must negotiate narrow and technical courses and reach speeds of almost 98 km/h (58 mph). At the end of a series of straight eliminations, only one team will win the coveted E1 Water Champions title.

A prestigious event
Steve Aoki, a world-renowned DJ, and Tom Brady, the legendary NFL quarterback, recently joined E1 as team owners along with sports icon Rafael Nadal. These big names are excited to take part in this event, not only to entertain fans, but also to inspire future generations, drive innovation and take part in a more sustainable future.
Sustainable development as a priority
Rodi Basso and Alejandro Agag, co-founders of the E1 World Championship, came up with the idea of creating this event to further their mission of promoting clean technologies and decarbonizing the recreational boating industry. Additionally, they created the Blue Action program to help restore polluted coastal habitats around the world. This program is perfectly in line with Taiga Motors’ focus on sustainable development and its commitment to a cleaner future.
