A new way to find sponsors in the United States is the Welcome Connect page.

For those who don’t know: Welcome Connect is an online platform where potential sponsors in the USA and those seeking sponsorship can network and get to know each other.

This year, the U.S. government expanded its humanitarian sponsorship programs to allow Americans to sponsor Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans and Venezuelans, as it had already done with Ukrainians.

In this way, the parole for Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans and Venezuelans (P4CHNV) is considered “the most direct and effective path that citizens of these countries currently have to find refuge in the United States with the support of an American sponsor,” points out the official site of the platform.

The Welcome Connect registration page for Cubans and other beneficiary nationals seeking sponsors is Open every third Tuesday of the month. Therefore, The next opening date is this Tuesday, October 17th And these are the times registration begins, depending on where you live:

  • If you are in Nicaragua, registration begins at 9:00 a.m. (Central Time).
  • If you are in Haiti or Cuba, registration begins at 11:00 a.m. EST.
  • If you are in Venezuela, registration begins at 11:00 a.m. (Atlantic Standard Time).
  • If you are in Ukraine, registration begins at 6:00 p.m. (Eastern European Time).
