Fans were eagerly awaiting tickets for the UK and Ireland tour to go on sale and queued up at 9.30am on Friday to see the band live.
However, many were disappointed and upset when they saw the ticket prices. Some fans claimed they could only get tickets for around £200 each.
Tickets for the tour are not yet sold out and while some venues still have cheaper tickets worth £68 up for grabs, others only have platinum tickets available for around £200.
Meanwhile, the value of third-party resale tickets for the 29-date tour is already rising rapidly, with people selling tickets for almost £600 via online marketplaces.

One wrote: “Know that you don’t have to charge a lot of money for the tickets, you have enough money yourself and not every artist does that.”
“I visited Paolo three times for the price of 1 ticket at the Hydro. Screw your fans! The tickets cost four times the 2015 price.’
Another said: “The prices are crazy!” Really guys?! Even Robbie doesn’t charge such exorbitant prices. Very disappointing.’
A third added: “Ticket prices are a staggering £515 for two decent tickets in Manchester (£65 of which is fees). In today’s climate, so many people are overrated. I’m aware things have gone up but the price is outrageous.’
A fourth said: “First time in 30 years I haven’t bought one!! Their prices are ridiculous!!!”
However, other excited fans took to social media to share their joy at managing to snag tickets for the highly anticipated tour.
One wrote: “Got tickets for May 17th in Birmingham this morning and can’t wait,” while a second said: “Take That tickets secured.”
A third commented: “So I just went and got @takethat tickets!!” and a fourth added: “Managed to get @takethat/@ollymurs tickets for mum and me today so I’m happy.”

Elsewhere, tickets via online marketplace Viagogo are already being offered by third-party sellers for almost £600, with a staggering markup.
A ticket to London’s O2 Arena on April 25 has been offered for up to £587 by a third-party seller just hours after it went on general sale.
The official general sale means that tickets for many dates have not yet sold out, with some in Leeds still available for £68.75, while some tickets for Milton Keynes are available for £82.50.
However, other concerts only have more expensive options, with shows at venues such as Leeds, Birmingham and Sheffield only having platinum options at over £190.
At the O2 Arena, some dates are sold out, while others are only offering platinum tickets or special seating packages, priced at around £200 to £300 each.

Following the tour announcement, fans of the trio rushed to X, formerly Twitter, to share their excitement that Take That are finally hitting the road again.
One wrote: “Absolutely super excited for the brand new album and tour. Good choice for a support act @ollymurs.” “Windows is an absolutely fantastic song. Welcome back guys, legends together. Hopefully we’ll see each other in Manchester next year.”

It comes as Take That announced they would be reuniting with a brand new album.
The ’90s pop group have come together after a six-year absence to put together their ninth album, This Life. A new single called Windows will be released in November.
But fans will only see Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald, as Robbie Williams and Jason Orange have yet to reunite with the group.

According to The Sun, lead singer Gary said: “The only thing I keep hearing is that Take That are coming back but there’s no Robbie and Jason.”

Whether they will follow in the footsteps of Kylie Minogue and Adele with their Las Vegas residencies has yet to be decided.
But Gary hinted the idea wasn’t out of the question, saying: “Who knows what’s in store for next year.”
Solo artist Robbie hasn’t returned to the band since 2011 before Jason finally left in 2014.
