Takeover: The organizational communications company Brouillard passes into the hands of … Brouillard

The organizational communications company Brouillard remains family-owned and was taken over by its founder's daughter on Wednesday.

The new owner, Florence Brouillard, bought the “baby” that her father Jean founded in 1988. The 32-year-old young woman has been managing director for two years.

“It was so obvious, so logical, but it remains very important to us,” says the woman who will now be the sole head of the PR company. We have been discussing this for some time and I am very happy and proud that it has come about.”

His father doesn’t mince his words when describing “one of the best days of his life.”

“It is a great relief to see that Florence has decided to embark on the adventure. She is an only child, she is full of talent and she could have done many other things in life than following the same path as me. It makes me so happy to know that it stays in the family,” emphasizes Mr. Brouillard.

step by step

But his daughter, who has been working in the company for more than ten years, makes no secret of the fact: the desire to take over management was not a given for her. It wasn't until her last few years as executive director that she realized this was what she really wanted.

“At the beginning, when it came to the succession, I was very resistant. I didn't want to rush anything. When I took office two years ago, it gave me the confidence I needed. I realized I was a much better leader than I thought.”

Flames

Since 2020, her father has stepped down at the helm of the company to give Florence Brouillard more space to further implement her vision. This management method led to certain professional confrontations between the two generations of Brouillard.

“I paved the way and it led to a lot of arguments between the two of us because we don't always see things the same way,” admits the new CEO.

“Now she will be my boss!” jokes Jean Brouillard, who would continue to act as his daughter’s main advisor for some time.

The 32-year-old businesswoman claims that the transaction will have “no real impact” on the day-to-day operations of the communications company. Instead, she wants to make changes that have a long-term impact.

“Things are going well for us. We have doubled our sales since 2021 and want to continue our growth in the same way. My father laid a solid foundation and I want us to go even higher,” concludes Florence Brouillard.
