Taylor Swift concert postponed due to storm in Sydney

Bad weather prevailed at Taylor Swift's show at Sydney's Accor Stadium on Friday, forcing thousands of spectators to evacuate the venue.

When the thunder struck just 10 kilometers from the Accor Stadium, fans were asked to move away from the scene.

The concert, which was scheduled to begin at 6:20 p.m., was ultimately postponed. At the Accor Stadium we rushed to deliver a message to the crowd.

“Please note that the show has been postponed due to weather. Until further notice, stay safe and follow the on-screen instructions and staff instructions. Stay safe and remember to be kind to the people around you.”

Taylor Swift finally took the stage at 7:50 p.m. in front of 81,000 people. “We have a bit of a weather situation, there might be a bit of rain, but I've never seen an Australian audience let that spoil their fun,” she told the crowd.
