The fight was broadcast live on SBT Rio, which showed the surrounding area of Nilton Santos Stadium.
One of those involved, a young Brazilian woman, accused a group of Colombian women of jumping the queue. “What happened is that production has no control and people take their turn. We asked her to leave and she said: “I’m not leaving, who will take me out?” The police say they can’t do anything, it’s up to production. But if I pull her out by her hair, I’ll get in trouble with the police,” he said.

While one of them answered, the other remained standing with her head bowed the entire time. The Brazilian eventually managed to jump over the metal fence and tried to forcibly remove the group. She even pulled one of the Colombian women by the hair.

Amid the confusion, one of the young Colombians burst into tears while being supported by members of the production team. In the studio, presenter Isabele Benito was outraged by the scenes. “The police are supposed to follow the law, but they are not following it. If you don’t show authority, you become the zone. Were the other tragedies that happened not enough? Currently it is the state that organizes it, it takes place on the sidewalk of Engenhão,” he asked.

Result
The case then had an unexpected outcome for the Colombians. According to SBT Rio, one of the professionals in charge of the event assured the four young women that they would watch the show from a box. One of the girls was even seen using a wheelchair after the mayhem. The Colombians received medical care on site and were then able to enter one of the stadium’s boxes.

Meanwhile, the Brazilian woman was taken to the police station. “The military policeman came to talk to me and asked what happened, whether there had been an attack. I told her exactly what I saw that she grabbed the other girl by the hair. They managed to locate the girl and she is being taken to the police station to give a statement about the attack she committed,” the reporter said.
