MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) – Fans without tickets to Taylor Swift’s sold-out concert are “strongly discouraged” from gathering outside of US Bank Stadium this weekend, according to a press release from the venue.

It’s going to be a busy weekend in Swiftieapolis as over 500,000 people are expected to attend the Pride Festival, Kiwanis Convention and sold-out Taylor Swift concert at US Bank Stadium in downtown Minneapolis.

The venue posted the notice on Facebook Thursday, and “strongly advised Swift fans not to gather outside the stadium for Friday and Saturday shows.”

During the Eras tour, thousands of ticketless fans lined up in front of the Taylor-Gating stadiums hoping to hear or catch a glimpse of the singer’s performance. FOX 29 reported that thousands of people sat in the parking lot at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia to hear Swift perform in her hometown.

The notice reminded Swifties that US Bank Stadium is a closed venue in the heart of downtown Minneapolis, so fans would not be able to catch a glimpse of the show.

Tickets are still available for those wanting to see the show, but these are sold on resale websites and often cost a pretty penny. The cheapest single ticket on Stubhub for Saturday’s show is in the upper 300s and costs $898, excluding fees. Meanwhile, the most expensive ticket is sold for over 20,000 US dollars.

However, buying second-hand tickets can be risky. Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison warned of ticket fraud, saying there were reports fans lost as much as $2,500 to counterfeit tickets. Fans who don’t want to spend thousands of dollars on tickets can keep an eye on Ticketmaster, which offers last-minute tickets at face value before shows in other cities.
