Taylor Swift is celebrated by Apple Music

American singer Taylor Swift was named Apple Music’s artist of the year on Wednesday.

Having just reached the top of the American charts with the re-recording of her album “1989”, the singer-songwriter looks back on a year marked by records, some of which captured the imagination, particularly in terms of the number of stadiums filled and the price that certain Swifties pay to attend one of his concerts, but also in terms of his online listening.

Taylor Swift is the most streamed artist in Apple Music history and the artist with the most songs to make Apple Music’s daily global top 100.

In total, the singer, who boasts of being part of the billionaire artist club, had 65 of her songs make it to Apple Music’s Global Daily Top 100 in the first ten months of 2023. That’s more than any other artist.

TayTay apparently said she was “extremely honored” to receive the nomination and wanted to thank her fans “for making this the most incredible and joyful celebratory year ever.”

“Whether it’s making music non-stop, screaming together at shows in real life, or dancing chaotically at the movies, none of it would have been possible without you. Thank you very much,” said the singer in a press release.

“Taylor Swift’s influence on music is absolutely undeniable, not just in this record-breaking year but throughout her career,” said Oliver Schusser, vice president of Apple Music and Beats, who also called her an “agent of change in the music industry.”

“There is no doubt that his impact and influence will be felt for many years to come. We are delighted to have the opportunity to celebrate his achievements,” the man continued.

Apple Music will therefore highlight the artist’s music on its platform while having several playlists dedicated to him. Interviews and album collections that depict and trace the singer-songwriter’s career are also available.
