  • Swift’s Eras Tour is the most lucrative stadium filler in history
  • The singer is expected to take home $4.1 billion from the tour alone
  • Their windfall is also boosted by the release of the Eras film this weekend

Taylor Swift’s lucrative Eras Tour is set to net the star a staggering $4.1 billion – the most any artist has ever earned from a single tour in history.

The singer’s earnings from her global tour alone are equivalent to the economic output of 42 nations, according to an estimate of her wealth by Peter Cohan, an associate professor of management at Babson College, cited by The Washington Post.

Swift’s record-breaking tour also poured billions more into the U.S. economy, with the massive production leading to extensive travel, ticket sales and merchandising opportunities for her legions of “Swifties.”

Her huge paycheck is also expected to increase as the film “Eras Tour” hits theaters this weekend and grossed over $80 million in advance sales before it even hit the big screen.

Swift’s windfall is largely due to her share of the revenue from her tour, which is estimated at the industry standard 85 percent.

Average ticket prices are around $450, a hefty sum that has helped the 33-year-old make record profits at stadiums around the world.

While ticket sales make up the lion’s share of revenue, the impact on the overall economy is also estimated at around $93 million per show.

The number was determined by the software company QuestionPro based on answers from online surveys combined with concert attendance figures.

An expensive mix of tickets, merchandise, travel, food, hotels and special Era outfits has left the army of Swifties flooding the economy with cash.

In total, the Eras Tour boosted an estimated $5.7 billion to the U.S. economy, enough to give $20 to every person in the country.

Swift isn’t the only one taking home a big win thanks to the tour, as ticket resale sites like SeatGeek were able to increase ticket prices many times over thanks to the fervent enthusiasm of her fan base.

“Swift and her ‘Eras’ tour have redefined the entertainment economy,” Chris Leyden, director of growth marketing at SeatGeek, told The Washington Post.

Ticketmaster notoriously crashed after tickets went on sale for the first time in November – at a heavily discounted price of $49 – as millions of fans fought for a seat.

The average ticket resale price on SeatGeek is $1,611.

Her economic-boosting concerts were even noted by city leaders across America, who praised her for adding hundreds of millions to their local finances.

In its home state of Pennsylvania, the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia cited it in a financial report after reporting a significant increase in hotel revenue in May.

According to the Cincinnati Regional Chamber’s Center for Research and Data, Cincinnati saw an increase of $48 million, while Los Angeles saw an additional $320 million thanks to the six shows it performed in the city.

And when she stopped in July in Kansas City — home of her boyfriend Travis Kelce’s Chiefs football team — the tourism authority said the city had received $48 million.

This comes at a time when she is set to break more records with her Eras tour film, which grossed more than $80 million in pre-sales.

The film, which chronicles their 52-stop tour of America, is expected to gross $196 million in its month-long theatrical run.

But the megastar bypassed Hollywood’s distributors by excluding her from a contract to screen the film. Instead, it reached an agreement directly with cinema chains.

The star wanted to release her film in theaters quickly to meet the huge demand from fans. However, due to the writer and actor strikes in Hollywood, the studios suggested a release only in 2025.
