Taylor Swift was revealed as the UK’s most listened to artist on Spotify in 2022, while Harry Styles had the most listened to song.
It caps Taylor an incredible couple of months, as Midnights only released in October, which propelled her to over 805 million streams in the UK.
The album’s release was accompanied by a global campaign, with Spotify billboards popping up around the world teasing new lyrics from the album in the days leading up to its release.

Alongside Taylor, five UK artists make the UK Fans Top 10: Ed Sheeran, Harry, Dave, Arctic Monkeys and D-Block Europe, who were featured as part of Spotify’s Wrapped announcement.
Harry’s hit single As It Was is the most listened-to song of the year on the streamer, reaching almost 97 million streams in the UK in 2022.
His top five credits include Glass Animals’ Heat Waves, Dave’s Starlight, Kate Bush’s Running Up That Hill and Sam Fender’s Seventeen Going Under.
Harry found further success in 2022 as he also had the #1 album on Spotify with his third studio release, Harry’s House.

Ed Sheeran’s Equals was the second most listened to album, followed by Lin Manuel-Miranda’s Encanto, Olivia Rodrigo’s SOUR and Taylor’s Midnights.
For the third year in a row, Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny ranked first as the world’s most-streamed artist with more than 18 billion streams this year.
The rapper is the first artist ever to hold the number one spot three years in a row.
Reflecting his popularity in the UK, Harry’s As It Was became the most-streamed song worldwide with 1.6 billion streams in 2022, capping a year in which the singer was seldom far from headlines.

Last month, Taylor became the first artist in music history to claim the entire top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 song chart.

Taylor revealed the exciting news during an appearance on The Graham Norton Show, sharing that while there are no set dates set in stone at this time, fans can expect their highly-anticipated tour to take place “soon.”
She said: “We will do it soon. It will happen. We will do it and it will be great.’
