Taylor Swift performs at the MCG in front of her biggest audience ever as she embarks on the Australian arena tour in early 2024 – as tickets go on sale next month
Taylor Swift will be touring Australia early next year, insiders have revealed.
According to sources from multiple venues and ticket agency Ticketek, the superstar will take the Eras Tour to Sydney in January before heading to Melbourne the following month.
The Shake It Off singer is expected to play at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, which has a capacity of 100,000. If she sells out the venue, which she almost certainly will, it will be one of the biggest shows of her career, reports the Shameless podcast.
Tickets for their dates in Australia and New Zealand are said to go on sale in April.
“Today we spoke to another well-placed source at the MCG who said dates have been booked for February,” the shameless host Zara McDonald said in a TikTok video.

“It sounds like it’s going to be either late February or early March, and Taylor took a look at what Ed Sheeran has been doing with his dates and found that audience approval was really high and they were really enjoying it have, and she’s doing the same thing in 2024.
“So keep an eye out for dates, looks like she’s coming over.”
Industry sources shared more details about the Australian tour during a Q&A on Shameless’ Instagram Stories.

“Know someone who works for Ticketek, ticket sales end of April,” said another.
A follower noted that Taylor often tours in December, but the Shameless team ruled that out, saying it would be more likely in early 2024, before the start of the AFL and NRL seasons.
