Taylor Swift arrived at MTV’s Europe Music Awards in Dusseldorf last night in an evening dress that flipped the scripts to jewelry on the red carpet.
Leaving her cleavage and wrists completely exposed, Swift opted for just a pair of silver rings and a spiral of studded ear cuffs on each ear — but her outfit was by no means lacking in embellishments. Instead of the conventional jewellery, Swift stepped out in a cascading midi skirt made entirely of a shimmering mesh of handcrafted silver and green crystals.

The custom David Koma look, a nod to the designer’s Fall Winter 2023 collection, was paired with a black spaghetti strap bodysuit and open slingbacks. The skirt’s emerald jewels were inspired by the late Queen Elizabeth II’s own emerald collection, according to a spokesman for the label.
Away from the red carpet, Swift became the highest-grossing artist of the night, earning four awards including Best Artist, Best Video, Best Pop and Best Longform Video for All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor’s Version).
The pop star donned a second David Koma look to accept the awards on stage: a black and silver polo shirt dress embellished with crystals provided the perfect backdrop for her arm full of silver MTV trophies.
