A man arrested Saturday for trying to break into Taylor Swift's Manhattan apartment was arrested again at the home Monday wearing the same clothing.
The shaggy-haired man, whom police locally referred to as “David,” was handcuffed on the streets of TriBeCa by the NYPD after an attempt to enter the building failed.
A neighbor told the New York Post that the man had been regularly seen outside the building since Christmas – sitting on the doorstep, chain-smoking and telling people he was there to see Swift. He even had flowers for her once.
Wearing tan pants, a cream hoodie and a navy coat, “David” was pictured peeking into Swift's lobby on Saturday before ending up in handcuffs. On Monday he was arrested again in front of her house, even though he was wearing the same clothes.
He arrived at the house around 3 p.m. on Monday but was not arrested by New York police until 6 p.m.
The NYPD told that the man, who has not been officially named, was taken into custody Saturday on an active warrant for failure to respond to subpoenas dating back to 2017.
It is unknown where Swift was at the time. On Sunday evening she was in Buffalo, New York – supporting her boyfriend Travis Kelce at his NFL game.

Taylor Swift was last seen in New York City on Thursday amid claims that her boyfriend Travis Kelce has plans to propose in the near future. On Sunday night she saw him play in Buffalo, New York
It's not the first time Swift has caught the attention of overzealous fans, as a number of stalkers in her history prompted her sold-out “Eras” megatour to install facial recognition software to identify specific men from her past.
The NYPD said it was a call from a “disorderly person,” but a witness told Page Six that the man behaved “pretty politely” throughout the incident.
“I first saw him around 1 p.m., he went to Taylor's door,” the eyewitness said.
“I'm not sure if he knocked or rang the doorbell… it was all pretty polite.” He didn't resist. There was no screaming or anything like that.'
The star was last spotted in New York City on Thursday, where she appeared for a recording session at Electric Lady Studios.
The multiple Grammy winner, 34, wore a black coat over a gray hooded shirtdress and completed her understated look with black leather shoes and a stylish suede Manu Atelier handbag.
She is expected to stay in New York all weekend to watch her boyfriend Travis Kelce's NFL game against the Buffalo Bills at Highmark Stadium in the upstate.
Swift's home in Manhattan's TriBeCa neighborhood has become a common gathering spot for her most ardent fans, who often camp out in hopes of catching a glimpse of their favorite artist.
But her megastar status has also attracted a whole host of shady supporters.

On Friday, a man wearing an outfit similar to “David” was also seen loitering outside Swift's apartment.
Although New York City was being hit by a snowstorm at the time, the weather did little to deter the man in tan pants and a dark blue coat, who was seen being approached by an NYPD vehicle. However, it is unclear whether anything developed.
In 2021, Swift opened up about her growing fear of stalkers and creepy fans, telling Elle, “My fear of violence has continued into my personal life.”
“I'm wearing an army-grade QuikClot bandage that's suitable for gunshot or stab wounds… There are enough stalkers trying to break into your house and you start to prepare yourself for bad things to happen.”

In May 2023, alleged stalker Mitchel Taebel, 36, of Indiana, was arrested after visiting Swift's Nashville home following a series of bizarre antics.
Police said he sent images of weapons to members of Swift's team and threatened to “destroy” them before leaving a message for the singer's father saying he was her “soulmate” and “he the only one who can bring them to safety.”
In March, Taebel posted a bizarre TikTok video in which he urged fellow Taylor Swift fans to prepare for the Eras tour by “always one step ahead of Taylor wherever she goes… watching her every move.”
In July 2022, “Swift Mania” also saw Brooklyn resident Joshua Christian thrown into court trouble after he was caught trying to sneak into the same TriBeCa apartment and making threats over the intercom.
As he faced a judge, he began shouting, “Are you the greatest pranksters in history or are they real?” Prove you are real. Prove you're real.'

In September 2020, stalker Eric Swarbrick (pictured) was sentenced to 30 months in prison after pleading guilty to stalking Swift and sending him threatening letters
The manic support Swift conjures also led Texas resident Eric Swarbrick to plead guilty in September 2020 to stalking her record label and sending threatening letters and emails.
He was sentenced to 30 months in prison after reportedly sending over 40 letters and emails to Big Machine Label Group in January 2018.
The threats included telling CEO Scott Borchetta to introduce him to Swift, before escalating to warnings that he wanted to rape and murder the singer.
On several occasions, Swarbrick drove to Nashville to deliver the letters in person, and police said Swarbrick also told Big Machine that he would take his own life in front of the label's employees.
The year before, Roger Alvarado was also arrested after attempting to break into her TriBeCa apartment. When asked if he would try again, he reportedly told police: “Probably with more violence, but not towards her.”
“I don’t want to hurt her. I just wanted to talk to her, talk to her. She seems nice [and] cool,” he added.
He later pleaded guilty in court and was sentenced to at least two years in prison.
