A Tennessee elementary school teacher accused of having sexual intercourse with a 12-year-old boy has hinted that she is pregnant with his child. According to US media reports, 38-year-old Alissa McCommon admitted this in a telephone conversation with the same boy who was questioned in court this week.

The call

“I plan to raise this child. I can do it,” the woman from Memphis can be heard saying. McCommon (who already has two children) was initially arrested last month and then returned home on bail. However, this was overturned because she communicated with her victim through text messages and phone calls and made contact with other children playing video games.

After the violence against children, the educator is “stressed”: the trial has been postponed

The suspension

According to the bond, the woman was released on the condition that she have no contact with the alleged victim or any minors other than her children. McCommon is accused of sexually abusing the 12-year-old and was suspended when a parent made the allegations. “Not only are McCommon’s actions appalling, police are concerned about this apparent breach of his bail conditions. Due to the nature of the communication, we are concerned that others may have been contacted,” said Covington Police Chief Donna Turner.
