Europe’s Ryder Cup golf stars celebrated late into the night and into the Roman dawn after beating the USA in Italy.
Beatific, misty-eyed Shane Lowry was pictured surrounded by empty bottles of beer, champagne and the all-important trophy during a drunken reception in Rome last night.
Teammate Tyrrell Hatton, one of the standout heroes as Europe reclaimed the Ryder Cup from the USA, was the last man standing this morning.
The 31-year-old Brit looked slightly dazed as he posed outside the team hotel with a frothy lager and a pair of LED-lit party sunglasses.
Most golfers drank from the Ryder Cup trophy itself as they celebrated the comprehensive 16.5-11.5 victory over the Americans.

Before the exuberant party in the team hotel, there was an exuberant bus ride from the Marco Simone Golf and Country Club to the team hotel in the Eternal City, where there was a lot of celebration on and off the course.
Hot on the heels of their magnificent victory that saw Luke Donald’s side put the demons of 2021 behind them, Rory McIlroy was seen in the team coach last night chanting “USA is terrified” as his team moved to the tune of dance hit ” “Freed from Desire” comrades joined in.
McIlroy – who led Team Europe to victory just hours after colliding with a Team USA caddy in a parking lot – was in a celebratory mood as he sang at the top of his lungs, drank champagne straight from the bottle and took a sip of the Ryder Cup trophy.
But the celebrations didn’t stop there and more pictures have emerged showing the excited European stars partying late into the night.
At a reception party after her win, an overjoyed Lowry could be seen sitting at a table with joy and punch, the Ryder Cup and plenty of bottles of champagne and beer in front of him.
Lowry’s teammates can be seen in the background as the early morning light shines through the curtains.
But while many members of Team Europe called it quits after hours of partying, the last man standing, Hatton, hilariously kept the celebrations going by drinking beer while dressed head to toe in Team Europe gear and wore bright party glasses.
Following her victory, McIlroy was at the center of the Ryder Cup celebrations and was clearly in high gear for three excellent days of golf, which were also full of controversy.
The Northern Ireland star was visibly emotional during a post-victory interview after Team Europe secured victory as he was forced to apologize for his disappointing performance in the 19-9 defeat at Whistling Straits two years ago.

After a strong US defense frayed nerves, Tommy Fleetwood secured his team’s victory with a stunning drive to 23 feet on the par-4 16th to secure the half-point they needed.
McIlroy won his first three games at Marco Simone but lost the final four-ball on Saturday night, which took a violent turn when his celebrations on the 18th green got him involved in an angry exchange with Patrick Cantlay’s caddy Joe LaCava.
The ruckus then spread into the car park and McIlroy had to be bundled into a waiting car by teammate Shane Lowry amid astonishing scenes.
The 34-year-old was fuming as LaCava stood in his line of sight, twirling his cap as he tried to make a game-saving putt.

Cantlay had been ridiculed by home fans throughout the day for reportedly refusing to wear his USA cap in protest at not being paid to play. After McIlroy confronted Cantlay’s bag man on the green, the mood in the parking lot boiled again.
“Yesterday’s departure on the 18th was probably the angriest I’ve ever experienced in my career,” McIlroy told BBC Radio 5 Live.
“I told the US people, I thought it was a disgrace what happened and I made that clear.”
“I needed that today to strengthen myself and not let a great week rattle me.” “I felt like I used it to my advantage and came out of it with a different level of focus and determination, and In a way it gave the whole team a bit of fire in the belly.”
McIlroy fought back tears before adding: “I just wanted to get another point for Europe. “I’ve been so disappointed with my performance there since Whistling Straits that it means a lot to me to come here and get four points for that Get the team.
