Although service on the REM gradually resumed, a disruption made it difficult for many users to return home.
The Réseau Express Métropolitain (REM) announced in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, that there was a service disruption on the A1 line at 3:45 p.m.

At 5:26 p.m. another publication appeared on the REM-X account announcing a stop at the main train station.
At least let people out!! We have been at Ile des Soeurs station for more than 30 minutes without being able to get off the train and take a shuttle!

Several users of the transport service who were trapped in the carriages complained about the operator’s lack of information.
Some of them say they were stuck in the train cars for almost an hour, others shared photos of evacuations.
