While foldable smartphones like the Galaxy Z Fold 5 or Z Flip 5 are still struggling to convince the public despite huge advances, others are trying to go even further. This is especially true for Motorola. The brand is also marketing a foldable smartphone, the Razr, but what it has just introduced goes far beyond that. Motorola, owned by Lenovo, presented a strange concept during Lenovo Tech World 23, which was just held in the USA in Austin, Texas. This is a smartphone that changes its shape and can be bent to different degrees. For example, the 6.9-inch panel can take the shape of a C. This means that the smartphone can be worn like a large bracelet. Practical as a watch but also for carrying a mobile phone whose size becomes too large to be stored in your pocket.

A smartphone that curves without bending

However, since the theme of this show organized by Lenovo focused on artificial intelligence in addition to the power of giving a phone a completely curved shape, Motorola imagines that AI functions integrated into the cell phone could create a screen fund that adapts Your outfit. Since this is a concept, we don’t have many technical details about the smartphone. What we do know is that the manufacturer calls it “Adaptive Display Concept” and that its screen has a resolution of 2,228 x 1,080 pixels. The phone does not have a hinge as it does not fold in two, but bends to stand upright or into the shape of an arch. In other words, with a little exaggeration, it’s reminiscent of the famous BendGate problems, i.e. phones like the iPhone 6 Plus and the SamsungSamsung Galaxy S6 EdgeEdge that twisted a little too easily when you put them in the back pocket of your pants. The big difference is that this curvature was permanent.
