Technology identifies woman 37 years later

More than 37 years after her disappearance, thanks to advances in science, authorities in the US state of Georgia have been able to identify a woman’s body.

This is Mary Anga Cowan who was found injured and unconscious in Georgia in May 1985.

She died of her injuries a few weeks after she was found and authorities have never been able to identify her.

Using genealogy technology, authorities were able to create his DNA profile and forward it to the FBI.

He was able to identify a likely match for Ms Cowan by comparing her to the DNA of one of her children.

It turns out the woman was reported missing in Seminole County, Florida in the ’80s.
