Senator Ted Cruz has joked to colleague Elizabeth Warren that she “might have a penis” because “how do we know in today’s Democratic Party that she doesn’t have one”.
Speaking to some 1,500 supporters at the seventh annual Basque Fry in Gardnerville, Nevada, Cruz told supporters, “We need courage to respond to the crazy city.
“Elizabeth Warren told reporters that a guy came up to her and said, ‘I would have voted for you if only you had a penis.'”
Cruz accused Warren of making up the story. He continued, “In today’s Democrat [sic] Party, how do we know she doesn’t? how could you know “My name is Elizabeth, call me Bob, this is my beer.”
The 2016 Republican presidential nominee’s remarks were met with roars of laughter. The clip was reported by activist Lauren Windsor on Twitter.

Tiffany Anderson, pictured left, who attended the event, said of the Texas Republican: “What can I say about Ted Cruz? He was very gracious and walked into a crowd and let us maul him.
In later comments at the same event, Cruz referred to transgender swimmer Lia Thomas as a “dude.” The Conservative added: “He looks like Michael Phelps.”
One attendee at the event, Tiffany Anderson, paid tribute to Cruz in a Facebook post, saying, “What can I say about Ted Cruz? He was very merciful and walked into a crowd and let us maul him.’
She continued, “No other speaker at the event was so approachable. I thought that was cool because his security was smashed by the crowd.
At the 7th Annual Basque Fry, Republican heavyweights sought to unite against the incumbent Democrats, which has become an annual tradition held in rural Douglas County.
The primary goal of this year’s event was to promote Republican hopeful Adam Laxalt’s campaign for the Nevada Senate. The Texas senator said, “I think the best opportunity for Senate Republicans is in Nevada.”
Cruz last appeared at the event in 2015.

Laxalt previously served as Nevada Attorney General from 2015 to 2019. The seat is currently held by US Senator Catherine Cortez Masto.
The event, which includes live music, an inflatable rodeo ride and Basque cuisine, is modeled on the cookouts of Adam Laxalt’s grandfather and former Nevada Governor Paul Laxalt.
The elder Laxalt was the son of Basque immigrants and Adam now hosts the event with the Morning in Nevada PAC.
80 days before the midterm elections that will decide which party controls both the State House in Carson City and Congress in Washington DC, national and state politicians have cheered the crowds with a message of urgency
Speaking to reporters before taking the stage, Cruz called Laxalt’s race “the best pickup for Republicans.”
“One reason is that Adam was able to unify the Republican Party early on,” Cruz said.
“There are all different slices and flavors of Republicans from state to state. And one of the challenges that we have in some of the other states is that we have candidates who have come through pretty bumpy primaries where there’s still some hurt feelings.

Cruz and Laxalt condemned the search of former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home. Laxalt called it an example of “arming the FBI” — an outcry many Republican lawmakers have made over the past week to capitalize on voter outrage.
In addition to Cruz, headliners included right-wing author Kurt Schlichter, South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem, and Nebraska Gov. Pete Ricketts, among others.
Earlier this summer, Cruz took aim at Warren on an episode of his podcast, Verdict. He said: “This is Liberals Gone Wild. That’s the crazy left, that’s – that’s AOC and Elizabeth Warren, thank god, not in bikinis, um, but with their socialist craziness.”
Cruz alluded to the once popular softcore porn series Girls Gone Wild.
Senator Elizabeth Warren has long been a target of Cruz. In 2019, when Warren was running for the Democratic presidential nomination, the Harvard professor proposed expanding gun background checks.
Cruz responded by saying, “If Republicans abandon the Second Amendment and demoralize millions of Americans who care deeply about Second Amendment rights, it could go a long way toward electing a President Elizabeth Warren.”
During his speech at the 2021 Conservative Political Action Conference in Dallas, Cruz warned, “The Chinese communists and Elizabeth Warren want to control you both.”
He continued, “Their wealth, your savings, your speech, your life, your children, every decision they want to control and that’s why we need to break down the means of controlling citizens.”
