Teen charged with murdering homeless man has been arrested again for stabbing a man

A teenager already charged in connection with the killing of a homeless man by eight underage girls in Toronto just over a year ago was arrested again Thursday in connection with the attack on a man in a subway station, the reported Toronto Star.

Toronto police said Friday that they have arrested a 14-year-old girl suspected of being involved in the attack on a 52-year-old man who was walking home at Wilson Station in the middle of rush hour.

According to police, the teenager and a man who accompanied her were involved in an argument with the victim. The argument escalated and the duo attacked the 52-year-old and inflicted stab wounds on him.

Shortly afterwards, the teenager was arrested on site, while her companion fled on foot and was still being sought on Friday. The young woman, whose name cannot be given due to her age, is facing multiple attacks for armed assault and disorderly conduct.

At large despite murder

According to the Toronto Star, the teenager is among the group of eight young women accused of killing Kenneth Lee, a 59-year-old homeless man, in a group attack on December 18, 2022.

The man was violently attacked and stabbed to death by eight teenage girls, aged between 13 and 16 at the time of the events. Over the next two months, five teenage girls were conditionally released, while the other three took steps to be released while awaiting trial.
