Teenager attacked in school: “It is unprecedented violence,” says the director of the Mont Bruno school –

This video of a 16-year-old boy being brutally beaten by another student sparked outrage across Quebec. And if there was anyone who was particularly outraged, it was the principal of Mont Bruno High School, Robert D’Aquila.

According to him, all the measures that his position allows him have been taken.

Speaking to Benoit Dutrizac on QUB radio, Mr D’Aquila confirmed that the attacker was suspended and that the other youths involved had been hit.

He also confirmed that the police were involved and that there was good cooperation with the school team.

At the microphone of Benoit Dutrizac, the director of the Mont Bruno secondary school explains the means at his disposal to prevent such a situation from happening again QUB radio :

“At the moment it is viewed as a violent and unfounded attack,” the school principal explained, but suggested there could be a much more serious sequel.

The big question that Benoit Dutrizac asks is the one that many parents ask when they see a situation like this: Do schools have the tools to intervene?

“I think this boy needs more than just thinking,” Mr. D’Aquila said.
