Tekashi 6ix9ine was taken to a hospital by ambulance in Florida on Tuesday night after being jumped by a group of men in the sauna of an LA Fitness.
The Stoopid artist was “beaten to a pulp” in the ambush, his attorney, Lance Lazzaro, told TMZ.
The 26-year-old rap artist, who had no security on hand at the time, did his best to defend himself but was outnumbered by his attackers, his attorney said.
The Bushwick, New York native, who has struggled with legal troubles in the past, was taken to a nearby medical facility after people heard the riot and the facility’s manager contacted police and emergency services.
The Fefe artist, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, was seen in a photo obtained by the outlet with a swollen face and a laceration near his cheek.

Insiders told the outlet that his jaw, ribs and back were also injured in the violent incident.
Tekashi 6ix9ine’s attorney said he will contact federal authorities to coordinate additional security following the attack.
On social media, a clip showed two men punching and kicking the singer as he lay on the floor of the gym’s bathroom.
Another clip featured the rapper Blood ran down his face as he exited the bathroom and walked into the main area of the gym.
It wasn’t immediately clear if the LA Fitness Tuesday incident was related to his previous legal troubles and behavior.
The rapper was featured in an Instagram post last month showing a metal box with stacks of cash on it.
The artist was released from federal prison custody in early 2020 following his 2019 racketeering-related conviction.
He faced numerous charges including racketeering, attempted murder, possession of a firearm and assault with a gun.

Tekashi 6ix9ine had expected a minimum sentence of 47 years and a maximum of life imprisonment in the case.
The music artist scored a plea bargain in the case where he was accused of multiple crimes as a member of the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods gang.
As part of his pleading, Tekashi 6ix9ine testified against several gang members.
The performer emerged on social media and amassed millions of Instagram followers ahead of his rise in music.
He has continued to be embroiled in tense situations in recent years: On Friday, he was thrown out of LoanDepot Park in Miami for creating a scene “heavily intoxicated,” a source told Page Six.
“He was heavily intoxicated and disrupted the experience of other guests,” the source said. “He was drunk, he was drunk and he was out of control. There were a lot of families there last night and he was harassing people.’
He had participated in the World Baseball Classic ball game between Puerto Rico and Mexico.
In August 2022, his longtime girlfriend Rachel Wattley was arrested in Miami after she punched him multiple times at the Kiki by the River nightclub.
