Two days after his release from prison, Tekashi returned to La Vega to financially help Sairy, a nine-year-old girl who suffers from cerebral palsy.
The rapper, who is accused of attacking some music producers and was released on bail, arrived at the girl’s apartment and gave the grandmother $2,000.
“I wanted to give him this money (…) I was in prison, I’m trying to bring the money from the United States to distribute to all of La Vega,” the singer told the minor’s grandmother.
The singer told the cameras of this city’s content creator called “The World Vega” that he was doing this all as a sign of gratitude to vegans for the support they gave him during his time in prison.
“I owe La Vega. “They were there from 6 a.m. until dawn, screaming,” he said.
Yailin’s partner was greeted with hugs by the girl with cerebral palsy and said she was very happy to meet the singer.
In addition, he also distributed money to the children in the area.
It is recalled that hundreds of people walked to the edge of the La Vega courthouse with loud music, alcoholic drinks and banners in support of Tekashi 69 while the rapper was locked up.
The American rapper of Mexican origin was released after the Court of the Office of Permanent Attention of the La Vega Judicial District ordered a financial guarantee, a ban on leaving the country and a periodic report as coercive measures against him for allegedly attacking some music producers in October 13.
The judge ordered the payment of 500,000 pesos in cash to the Banco Agrícola, the presentation at the Palace of Justice on the 24th of each month, and a protective and temporary injunction against the victims of 500 meters.
He also ordered that Tekashi be treated by a psychologist for an appropriate period of time.
