Scot Andy Murray has withdrawn from the French Open tennis tournament, which runs from May 22nd to June 11th.

His name was not on the list of registered players for the second Grand Slam tournament of the season.
Murray’s last appearance at Roland-Garros dates back to 2020 and he lost to Stanislas Wawrinka in the first round.
The 42nd player on the world chessboard has reached four times in eleven participations in this tournament.
Murray said in February that hosting the Wimbledon tournament gave him the best chance of Grand Slam success.
The 36-year-old athlete won the Challenger d’Aix-en-Provence last May.
In addition to Murray, the Spaniard Rafael Nadal also announced on Thursday that he will miss the French Open for the first time since 2004 due to injury.
